A Family Name,
A Lifetime in the Making
Growing up, Mike spent his childhood working alongside his parents at a little breakfast spot in Florida called High Seas. It was the kind of place where everybody knew everybody — regulars had their seats, the coffee was always hot, and his mom and dad poured everything they had into it. He grew up in that kitchen, and that place never left him.
Fast forward to now — Mike's here in Acushnet, right next door to New Bedford, and he's done exactly that. He opened up his own High Seas, named after the restaurant that shaped him, and brought every bit of that spirit with him. Walk in and there's a good chance Mike's going to come over and talk your ear off (in the best way). He knows half the town by name and is working on the other half.
This isn't a chain. It's not fancy. It's eggs and homefries and good coffee and a place where you actually feel like a person when you walk through the door. High Seas has only been open a short time and it's already become a real piece of this community — and that's exactly what Mike set out to do.
Come in. Grab a stool. Mike will probably already be on his way over.
